Special Order Winchester Lightweight model 1886 Takedown Rifle in 33 WCF W/Letter

Another fine “ESTATE” firearm offered by Dust 2 Dollars. We offer you a “Special Order” Winchester Lightweight model 1886 Takedown Rifle in 33 WCF. The Cody Factory Letter states serial number 139151 was shipped on November 15 in 1907 making the rifle just shy of 110 years old! It was shipped as a rifle in 33 WCF caliber with a round barrel, plain trigger, ½ magazine, shotgun butt with rubber butt plate in a takedown configuration. The rifle action is tight with no movement and the lever snaps closed with no play. The bore is excellent with no issues at all. The sights are shown in their own pictures for you to see. At some time the butt stock has a repair done at the toe by a skilled hand. The butt plate was also replaced at that time but skillfully done to fit as the original one did. Other than that the stocks are in very fine condition. The bluing on the rifle is also in very fine condition as you can see. The loading gate still shows most of the bright blue finish as shown. $3,250 plus $75 shipping to your FFL or a valid C&R holder. 3% convenience fee added to the total for CC payments. Custom built Harry Lawson rifle for Western Hollywood star Chuck Connor The Rifleman With Provenance!

Another fine “ESTATE” firearm offered by Dust 2 Dollars. We offer you a RARE FIND for your collection. This is a Custom built Harry Lawson rifle for the Western Hollywood star Chuck Connor of TV’s “The Rifleman”. With a 40-year film and television career, he was best known for his five-year role as Lucas McCain in the highly rated ABC series The Rifleman (1958–63). So here is your chance to show off a rifle from an American Icon to your friends. Harry Lawson started with a Remington model 600 in 6mm caliber. He did a left hand conversion on the rifle and then stocked it with one of his classic thumbhole stock made from Hawaiian Mango! All the metal then had his high gloss bluing finish work completed. He then mounted a Weaver K4 scope and installed one of his hand made rifle slings. Provenance for the rifle is complete as you can see. It has the letter from Rose Mary Grumley (Executive Assistant from his estate) stating the ownership. There is the picture form the shooting range clearly showing this rifle in his hands! The plaque is clearly shown in the picture that reads; HARRY LAWSON AWARD TO CHUCK CONNORS – 1967. Which makes the rifle 50 years old! The metal shows Lawson’s mark for the left hand conversion. The end of the forearm shows his name but the design of his work tells us that we made it alone without his name on it. The rifle shows two small age cracks at the bottom in front of the trigger guard. Which if wanted can be easily repaired by a competent gunsmith if wanted. The rest of the complete package is in excellent (PLUS) condition. The three archived items; two pictures and document are also included. A real piece of American History all in one! $4,195 plus shipping to your FFL.
